D***p: My laptop built in screen is damaged got left to close to a em source a external mechanical hdd of all things so it only partially functions now and the repair cost was going to be more than replacement so this was a much more sensible option stuck to the faulty screen with some double sided tape and connected to the usb and hdmi acts as the built-in would but 6 times cheaper than a repair.
